Abraham, Our Father and a Man of Faith

Room

Christians
worship the God of the Bible: the Triune God, Father, Son and Holy
Spirit. People are called,
individually, to come to know God by knowing Jesus Christ, but we also
worship God communally and learn how to worship Him through the example of
others. One example of a person of
faith is Abraham. By tracing the life
of Abraham as set forth in Genesis, we learn about Abraham, but we also learn
about the object of Abraham's worship: God himself. We also find additional insight into God's
dealings with Abraham in the New Testament books, James, Hebrews, Galatians,
Acts and Romans, and in the teachings of our Lord Jesus Himself. In this class, we want to learn what the
Bible says about Abraham and his relationship to God, thereby discovering
something about God and drawing closer in our own walks with God.
